Air Ticketing Consultant

Salary negotiable North West London, London Permanent, full-time Major Travel is an established UK Tour Operator since 1974. You will be working and developing your skills on ticketing and customer service across multiple GDSs. Job Responsibilities:

  • Issuing airline tickets and Reissuing of airline tickets in a timely manner.
  • Ensure telephone enquiries are dealt with in a helpful and precise manner ascertaining requirements.
  • Manage Q’s.
  • Support accounts with the investigation of ADM'S and profit queries
  • Ensure ticket deadlines are met.
  • Daily collating, reporting of BSP/accounting documents.
  • Carry out quality checks and administration tasks.
  • Maintain good working relationships with all departments.
  • Be approachable and available to offer assistance and advice to colleagues.
  • Relay essential information to appropriate colleagues promptly and accurately.
  • Attend training sessions and meetings where applicable.
  • Remain flexible within the department to meet the needs of the business.

    • Excellent knowledge of GDS (Sabre, GAL, Amadeus or Worldspan)
    • Knowledge of interpreting Airline Contracts, CAT35 and GDS ticket rules.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Content Marketing
    • Write, create and execute automated email campaigns to travel agencies andbusiness owners.
    • Manage & schedule organic social media activity – acrossall social media platforms
    • Monitor and respond to clients in online communities oftravel agencies eg Facebook Groups.
    • Create & execute joint venture marketing campaigns withsuppliers eg Airlines, Hotels
    • Write press releases about Major Travel.
    • Communicate press releases to trade press + push for newsarticles to be written about Major.
    • Work directly with the creative team – design & video.
    • Work directly with the product team – promoting relevant sales,discounts etc.

Key Focus:

As a Product Junior you will undertake an array of tasks & responsibilities:

Assist Product Managers with content loading for different destinations, tours and resorts. Writing, proof reading, pricing and planning of content in brochures and online. Manage website with up to date content and information on the products being sold. Assist Product Managers with rates and special offers loading. Follow through with reservations via managers to ensure product success. Run weekly reports and price competitor analysis.

Skills required:

An enthusiastic team player, flexible, positive attitude and self-motivated. Good organisational and analytical skills. Computer literacy. Good knowledge of Windows based applications. Passion for travelling.

Head of Accounts

We are looking for Head of Accounts to supervise, track and evaluate day-to-day activities. Accounting manager responsibilities include establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analysing, verifying and reporting information. We are also looking for someone to work closely with our financial management team.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department
  • Monitoring and analysing accounting data and produce monthly and annual financial statements to send to ATOL, ABTA and the management team
  • Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles

Job Responsibilities:
